Our spring Creek Clean-Up has been rescheduled to Saturday, April 10. Previously, our January 2021 newsletter stated April 17. In the case of inclement weather on April 10, the walk will still be postponed to Saturday, April 24. Bags, gloves, safety vests, and grabbers will be provided by the city.
We will meet at the Crosswinds Adopt A Stream sign on Bridgeport Drive between Lead Mine Road and Windjammer Drive at 10 AM on the 10th.
We walk the creek in the fall and the spring picking up any trash we find. Most of the trash is near the road crossings, but some of it washes downstream. Volunteers of all ages are welcome. We generally put in a couple of hours, but with more people it goes even faster. It’s a fun outdoors walk in the woods that is perfect for social distancing.
Our next walk will be on Saturday, April 10, or in the case of inclement weather that day, the clean-up will be postponed to Saturday, April 24. So that we have a headcount for cleaning supplies, please RSVP with the number of people in your party by calling, texting, or emailing Keith Karlsson at 919-539-7616 or keithkarlsson@yahoo.com. This will also allow us to notify you in case of postponement.
